Why is it so difficult for her to understand... maybe she's thinking the same way as I am. It was just a very plain doctrinal concept yet she cannot accept it. At the same time I cannot accept what she feels strongly about too. No doubt part of what she said was correct, yet something is just wrong. Was it really biblical? Or is it just based on her gut feelings? She said her discernment comes from Holy Spirit, well I can only agree with her on that but how certain is she if she doesnt align it with the Word of God? She has chosen not to take in the words of a teacher from a reputable organisation and strongly sticked to her own ideas. Somewhat reminded me of my struggles when I relearn who God is earlier in my life.
Though it wasn't exactly like a struggle, there were a lot of questions..Thinking back, to come to terms with those difficult doctrines I must say it has to be the working of the Spirit to have enabled me to understand them. Not everyone can get it, not everyone can accept them easily and take it as what the Bible say it is. But it had made alot of sense to me, it had made me know deeper about God's grace. That no one can deny the fact that none are deserving creatures yet God shown his mercy and grace upon all of us. If i'm helpless myself, all I can say is 'Thank You Daddy' when He decided to show grace to me. It's like... The king decided to pardon one of those prisoners who are supposed to be hung because of the awful crimes(murder, rape, etc) they have committed. The king do not have to do that, yet He chose to. Not only that, if the law states that for those who committed a serious offence must face the death penalty cannot escape the reality that someone will have to die, the King decided to give his son in place of this criminal whom he wants to pardon from the death sentence! How gracious and loving is that!? No human King can do that... yet the heavenly King can and decided to do so, out of His great love. Has any of the kings in the human history displayed such love?
One may argue that the King was unfair to choose only one prisoner to pardon? The issue here is not why he chose one and not the rest.. but the unfairness here lies with why did the king even decide to pardon and even give his prince in place of this serious offender!? He may be a serial rapist or murderer, the king by right, in his impartiality and justice, have to sentence him to death and YA he should die! come on.. serial rapist cum murderer.. yet the king in his love for this person pardoned him. Then taking the criminal then as his son because the King has already given his son to die in place of the person, isn't this wonderful? And I'm sure the criminal will then learn to really live in gratitude and change his ways all for the loving King for he has taken his sin away and gave him everything the King has in return. It is of cos an unfair exchange. But this
is the love of God....
